Well, my daughter LUCY ROSENBERG is a hero in Kentucky! And to be a hero in Kentucky... well, I tell you, that's something. The long-established and reputable Louisville Orchestra is using her in their mockery propaganda against orchestra management. Times are tough there, the orchestra has been on strike for many months and management is wanting to hire new players. These would likely be NON-UNION players since no union member is going to cross a picket line. The orchestra's status would change from professional to a community orchestra level! It's outrageous. Negotiations have completely broken down. The orchestra's lawyer says that the board had “nothing further to discuss” with the musicians and that “These negotiations remain hopelessly deadlocked and at impasse.” So it's quite bad. This is a local news editorial that explains the whole situation fairly concisely. Anyways, here is the original photo I took of Lucy about 2 years ago, the day I brought home this fine new German custom-made instrument:
I told her to show the horn and look happy. Look at those gruesome teeth. They're much better now, plus she will soon have braces.
Do you know what a meme is? Can you say that for me? M-E-E-E-M. That's right. 'Meme', according to Maggie, the other daughter, is a completely original word, with no derivation. Apparently it means a photo that has had its intent altered with a caption or other doctoring.
So I think I've set up the situation with enough detail for the humor of this to be evident. if you want more of this type of thing here is the site from which it was obtained - Bruce Hembd's "HornMatters."
Lucy is very proud to be a meme, and Maggie is jealous.
